A groom who was left in an awkward situation on his big day due to a 'surprise' guest has taken to social media to find out if he was in the wrong for getting annoyed.
The unnamed American man took to Reddit's Wedding Shaming forum yesterday to describe how a friend who said they couldn't make it because they were travelling in Australia, decided to turn up on the day unannounced.
Despite being annoyed, the groom managed to find space for the last-minute guest but was irked further when he drank 10 beers, complained about being hungry and made off with four of the free pizzas they'd laid on for guests.
The final straw was when we seduced the groom's sister, who is in a vulnerable state, and then boasted on social media about having sex with her.
Redditors were divided with some claiming the friend was 'completely out of line' and that the groom should cut him off, while others accused him of overreacting and questioned why the caterers couldn't rustle up some food for just one extra person.

The groom began by explaining: 'It was my wedding at the weekend and the last few months setting it all up have been hella stressful.
'Between me and my wife, we have been working full time and putting all the details into the wedding to ensure everything ran smoothly.
'We sent out the RSVPs months ago and had all the catering sorted so everyone was accounted for.'
'On Saurday there was a huge relief as the day had arrived, everything was sorted and we could just relax. That was until the guests started arriving.'
He revealed: 'Everything was going smoothly and all of a sudden a friend had just decided that he would turn up.
'He was initially invited but because he's gone travelling in Australia he said he wouldn't be able to make it. He had however planned to surprise me on the day instead.
'I was livid when I saw his stupid smile expecting me to be grateful that he had made the effort to come all this way. I did say hi to him and just kind of smiled but inside I was livid.
'I was even more livid when he said "Is that it?" It was super awkward and I was doing my best just to keep a lid on it.'
The groom attempted to put the unwelcome visitor to the back of his mind and instead tried to enjoy the important moment he had waited so long for - but, he couldn't help but get more annoyed as the day went on.
He continued: 'I was getting more p***** as I had to think of how we were going to cater for him as it was too uncomfortable to send him away.
'I would have also felt bad so was a bit of a catch-22. So I got the best man to just speak to the kitchen who said they couldn't cater for him as they didn't have the stuff and it would also cost, but they said they could seat him.

'I explained to him that he could be seated and he was ok with it. I was appalled to see that he managed to get hold of a plate and was asking for leftovers at the table - there wasn't even that much.
'As the day went on he kept kind of pulling me aside saying how good it was that he made it all this way for him.
'I kind of snapped and said although I appreciate the gesture it's been super inconvenient.'
The Redditor recalled that his friend 'got in a huff' and he later heard that he was 'sulking on one of the tables, waiting for people to go up to him'.
He admitted: 'I obviously didn't want it to ruin the day and I'd had a few drinks by this point, so I went over to speak to him for a bit as he is a friend.
'It went alright but he just kept saying how hungry he was after drinking about 10 of the free beers we had paid for.
'At the end of the evening, I saw him leave with about 4 boxes of the free pizza we had provided and ended up leaving and sleeping with my sister who has just found out she has alopecia.'
To end the bizarre story, he added: 'I saw he had posted on Instagram earlier this week saying how well the surprise went down and didn't even include any photos of me or my wife.
'He was boasting that it was unlimited pizza, beer and put a cryptic hashtag about how he railed my sister #sistafisa.
'I inboxed him and told him he was out of order and I don't want to be friends with him anymore and he said I am being ungrateful and overreacting.'
Within 24 hours, there were more than 100 replies to the thread, and people's opinions were divided.
One user joked: 'Wow. What a ride lol! It started off very typical, rude guest and then BAM he's stealing pizza and banging your sister. I got a bit of whiplash if I'm honest.'
A second questioned: 'He took 4 boxes of pizza?!' with a third adding: 'He really wanted the day to be all about himself didn't he? I think he was more annoyed that there wasn't a big deal made over him.'
A fourth agreed: 'You were not at all out of line or overreacting. He was completely out of line and cutting off that friendship will save you major headaches in the future.'
However, a lot of social media users found it odd that there was no way the catering could allow for an added guest, as well as finding some of the story's details bizarre.
Someone queried: 'Wait what does your sister having alopecia have to do with anything?'
Another added: 'What type of catering doesn't keep one extra plate of food? What if the server dropped one plate? God forbid two. This overhead generally accounted for in the plate cost.'
Someone else replied in agreement, saying: 'Thank you! I stopped reading after this. I've never worked in a restaurant where they cooked exactly the right amount. There is always some left over just in case.'

'Sorry, I laughed. Just that it’s really unclear how your sister having alopecia has anything to do with any of this.
'I think you took it all a bit seriously and ruined your own day. Strange that there was just about enough for the guests who were there,' added another Redditor.
Someone else quipped: 'To be honest I would’ve just told him thanks for coming and let it go.
'Sounds like this was living rent-free in OP's head the whole wedding day and is still squatting away.'
Another person insisted: 'Honestly you sound like a jerk. Your friend comes to your wedding to surprise you and you act like an a
